Prediksi Pemenang Oscars 2018

Tulisan dengan tema Oscars selalu membuat saya excited, mirip-mirip sama pas mau ketemu istri setelah sekian pekan merantau. Iya, mau nulis soal Oscars kudu belajar, setidaknya mengenali film yang menjadi nomine. Prediksi pemenang Oscars 2018 ini kedua kalinya saya menulis prediksi, pertama tahun 2016, tahun kemarin, udah siap-siap tapi ga kesampaian nulis. Haha

Oscars 2018 diselenggarakan pada Minggu 4 Maret 2018, sore waktu Amerika Serikat. Kira-kira Senin 5 Maret pagi WIB. Acara yang diselenggarakan di Dolby Theatre ini biasanya disiarkan langsung di saluran HBO ya if i’m not mistaken.

Tahun ini film-film yang jadi nomine terbilang beragam dan temanya juga banyak yang berat, alias film-film tentang kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu yang unik adalah film Get Out, dengan genre horornya, film ini bisa merangsek ke persaingan Best Pictures. Sutradara Jordan Peele yang biasa main film-film yang isinya cuman banyolan bisa membuat film horor yang tak biasa, hal itu membuat dia diganjar masuk ke nomine Best Director.

Film-film drama pun tak kalah mengesankan, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, Ladybird, Call Me by Your Name, Mudbound, sampai Roman J. Israel Esq., semua memberikan cerita mengesankan tentang kehidupan manusia.

Darkest Hour-nya Joe Wright semacam mendampingi Dunkirk-nya Christopher Nolan dan kedua film itu kini bersaing di Best Picture. Dari ranah fiksi ilmiah pun tak kalah keren, karya Guillermo del Toro memang selalu kece, The Shape of Water ngingetin sama universe-nya Pan’s Labyrinth.

Ga mungkin banget sih bahas semua filmnya, karena bakal kayak esai nanti tulisannya. Langsung aja saya beri prediksi pemenang Oscars 2018 sesuai selera saya. Feel free to judge me if my choice doesn’t meet your standard.
